Frumpy Duck combines available sports-source information with its own calculations and user inputs. It is not an official league, sportsbook or fantasy-platform scoring service. Source acknowledgments do not imply endorsement or transfer third-party rights. Availability, update timing and coverage vary by feed, player, sport and season.
Sources used by current tools
- Sleeper: league connections, rosters and player metadata.
- ESPN: public league information and selected sports schedules, statistics, depth-chart and availability information.
- nflverse: historical/weekly player statistics and roster data used in fantasy scoring and results review. The nflverse-data repository is published under CC BY 4.0; dataset-specific notices may apply. Frumpy Duck filters, matches and transforms these records into fantasy points, ranks and comparisons. Those calculations are our modifications, not nflverse endorsements.
- The Odds API: available game odds and player-prop snapshots. Verify live markets with the actual operator. We do not offer a raw odds-data resale service.
- National Weather Service and game-source forecasts: stadium-area weather where available; a local forecast is not a promise about conditions at kickoff.
- Daily Fantasy Fuel and user-imported contest files: selected salary/projection pools. Published feeds may not contain every operator contest. Always compare the selected slate and salaries with your official contest.
- EA SPORTS Madden NFL ratings: a supplemental skill-rating input where available. A game rating is not a fantasy projection, and EA does not endorse our formulas.
- MLB, NHL and basketball game sources: game results and player records used in the recreational sports tools.
What the numbers mean
Fantasy points depend on the selected scoring rules. PPG is a historical average, not a prediction. Cost per point compares a salary with the displayed points basis; missing or nonpositive values cannot support a useful ratio. Positional rankings compare a defined group and period rather than every possible player or future game. Madden-influenced player values, lineup projections and coaching classifications are model outputs, not official expert endorsements.
Historical reviews may include scores calculated from matched final stats or manually entered by you. Missing records can remain unresolved. “Optimal-roster” and adjusted-hit-rate measures depend on the saved pool, legal slot rules, salary constraints, complete scoring and the search result. They are personal analytical measures, not evidence of expected profits. Review each tool’s methods, timestamps and coverage notes.
