1. Who operates Frumpy Duck
Frumpy Duck is operated by Vertex Web Studios LLC, a Pennsylvania limited liability company (“we,” “us”). These terms describe permitted use of our website, companion app, research tools, saved notebooks and recreational league games. Please review them before using an account or tool. If you do not agree, do not use those services. Any paid purchase requires the terms and consent presented at checkout; browsing or using a free beta alone does not authorize billing.
2. Adults, accounts and security
Frumpy Duck accounts, DFS tools and memberships are intended for adults 18 or older. Do not create an account or use these tools if you are under 18. This does not establish eligibility for a third-party contest or sportsbook: their minimum age may be higher, and location restrictions apply. You must follow the rules and laws applicable to your use.
Provide accurate account information, protect your sign-in credentials, and use only accounts and league connections you are authorized to access. Do not share account access to bypass membership limits. Google and Apple sign-in are authentication methods, not endorsements. You remain responsible for actions you authorize; tell us promptly about suspected unauthorized access.
3. Research and recreation, not contest operation
Frumpy Duck supplies informational analysis, lineup planning and recreational score-tracking games. We do not accept wagers, collect paid contest entry fees, hold prize funds, place bets or submit fantasy entries for you. A subscription purchases access to software features, not a stake in a game, promised winnings, or professional financial advice. Site-generated game salaries and points are virtual scoring units with no cash or redemption value.
Do not use Frumpy Duck league features to solicit unlawful wagering, collect money or advertise unauthorized prizes. Any independent arrangement between league participants is outside our service and must not be represented as sponsored, administered or guaranteed by Frumpy Duck.
4. Data, estimates and performance
Statistics, salaries, schedules, depth charts, injury and practice reports, coaching information, weather and odds can be delayed, incomplete, incorrect or unavailable. Rankings, player values, projections, matchup scores and generated lineups are estimates based on available inputs and disclosed methods. Verify time-sensitive information and contest rules with official sources and the platform where you actually play.
No result, profit, win rate or competitive advantage is guaranteed. Historical results, simulated outcomes and personal hit rates do not predict future performance. “Optimal” describes a lineup found under a specific pool, scoring system, constraints and search result; it does not mean a universally best real-world choice. Retrospective comparisons may involve hindsight, incomplete data, custom projections or user-entered scores. They are not official contest settlement.
Odds and player props are informational snapshots, not offers to wager. An opponent’s positional rank, a player’s health designation or a weather trend does not establish what will happen in a future game. See our data and methodology notice.
5. Acceptable use and your content
You may use the available tools for your own lawful fantasy planning and recreational play. Do not attack or disrupt the service, bypass access controls, impersonate others, access another person’s private records, upload malicious files, or collect or redistribute data contrary to its source terms. Do not use participant names, league messages or shared content to harass people or disclose sensitive personal information.
You retain rights you have in your original notes, league names and uploaded content. You give us permission to store, process and display that content as needed to provide the features you request, maintain security and fulfill legal obligations. This is not a transfer of ownership. Only upload information you are entitled to use. League information may be visible to people with access to that league or invitation; private notebook records are account-scoped.
6. Intellectual property and independent status
Our original software, text and branding belong to Vertex Web Studios LLC or their respective licensors. Sports statistics, third-party data, names, marks, logos and player images remain subject to the rights of their owners. No provision here grants you ownership of third-party material or permission to resell a data feed.
Frumpy Duck is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the NFL, NFLPA, NBA, NBPA, MLB, MLBPA, NHL, NHLPA, FIFA, EA SPORTS, Madden NFL, ESPN, Sleeper, DraftKings, FanDuel, Apple or Google. Names are used to identify teams, athletes, sources, platforms or supported sign-in methods. If you believe material infringes your rights, send the URL, identification of the work, your contact information and the basis for your concern to vertexwebstudios@gmail.com. This contact is not a representation that we have registered a statutory DMCA agent.
7. Membership and service changes
Paid checkout is currently disabled. Planned pricing appears on the pricing page. The subscription terms explain future billing and cancellation. Free beta access is not a free trial that silently converts to payment. Complimentary accounts, including the operator’s testing account, may receive access without payment.
We may improve tools, correct errors or change source coverage. We will not treat continued use of a free service as consent to a new charge. Material changes to an active paid plan will be communicated before they apply, with any cancellation, consent or refund rights required by law. We may restrict access for security, abuse, legal obligations or material violations, and will provide notice and an opportunity to address issues when reasonably possible.
8. Availability, responsibility and consumer rights
The service is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we do not warrant uninterrupted availability, completeness, accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose. We are not responsible for a third-party platform’s decisions, contest settlement, changes or outages. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential losses, including lost opportunities or profits, arising from reliance on estimates or third-party data.
Nothing in these terms excludes a non-waivable consumer right, statutory warranty, required refund, or liability that cannot legally be excluded, including fraud or other conduct for which exclusion is prohibited. These terms do not require arbitration or waive class-action rights. Pennsylvania law governs to the extent allowed, without displacing mandatory protections that apply where you live. Contact us first if possible so we can try to resolve a concern.
9. Privacy, links and updates
Our Privacy Notice explains data handling and controls. Third-party websites and app stores have their own terms. We will identify the effective date of updates here and communicate material changes through the service or an appropriate account notice. Changes do not retroactively authorize charges or eliminate rights that already accrued.
